Our Community, Your Credit Union

Historically, the connection was established by many voluteers who gave generously and freely their time. Links with schools gradually developed and recently by PCU-inspired “Money Smart Program”. Donations to various community groups have been a recurring theme which led to the establishment of our Community Fund.

The credit union has always been a focal point within the community. We have supported the community through our resources, service and dedication. In 2020, we formally established the Community Fund, which aims to provide financial support to local projects. We pledged €150,000 for community development. Some of the first recipients of the fund are 

• St Patricks National School, Chapelizod
• St Lorcans BNS, Palmerstown,
• St Brigid's GNS, Palmerstown
• St Pats GAA, Palmerstown
• Palmerstown FC
• Donore Harriers, Chapelizod
• Phoenix Rowing Club, Chapelizod
• Waterstown Warriors, Palmerstown and many more.

Our Money Smart programme with the local schools aims to promote savings and financial management from a young age. 

We are proud of our multiple endeavours and commitment to the community and its financial wellbeing.

Molly O'Callaghan was an inspiration to our community, serving our members and the community for over 40 years. Her legacy is now immortalised in the credit union through the annual Molly O'Callaghan Scholarship.

We pride ourselves on the personal service which centres on members' needs.

Our friendly and helpful staff are more than happy to guide them through the benefits of membership and educate them of our services. Our aim is to build a lasting relationship for each stage. We feel so proud of our growing community of members and their unique relationship with us and a whole lot more.
