Donore Credit Union is Something Special

Donore Credit Union is something special to it's members.  It is the very first ever Credit Union in Ireland.  Founded by a group of young girls and their neighbours in 1958 with a simple purpose of "neighbour helping neighbour".  

Fast forward to 2021 and that simple value still applies. For generations of families, their first place to call when there is a need, an emergency, a car, a holiday or some home improvements is Donore Credit Union, located on Donore avenue.  

For over 62 years, we have tried to do one simple thing and that is "put members first". Financial ups and downs, and even a pandemic have not seen us deflected from the path of values of honesty, trust, transparency and service.  Yes, we have traditional values, yet we have a very modern approach to dealing with members, offering top class personal services and on-line facilities. 

Donore Credit Union is looking to grow - we want to do more for our community, do more for our members, do more services, do more products and do more personal service.  We want people who live, work or study in our common bond to help us "do more" and in turn help themselves "do more" for their community and neighbours.
